At this point it’s pretty redundant to say Gucci Mane is a busy man. The ATL veteran is arguably one of the hardest working rappers in the music industry these days, and it’s looking like October might be his biggest month to date. Coming off the release of his first ever book The Autobiography, Gucci Mane is getting ready to walk down the aisle and marry his best friend & longtime girlfriend Keyshia Ka’oir on 10/17 for a special taped reality series on BET, but that’s still not all of what Gucci has in stored for “Woptober.” A couple months ago, Gucci announced that he had a new album on the way called Mr. Davis, which was originally supposed to drop in September, but after a minor setback, the album has finally arrived today on iTunes.
"I planned on originally putting it out September the 15th; then, I started [thinking], October the 17th, but that's the day I get married," he said. “I love putting music out on 10/17," he continued. "I feel like, it'd even make the whole wedding more powerful, because that's like, my national holiday! ... In my mind, it's coming out 10/17, but I'm dropping it early, Friday the 13th."
Laced with 17 tracks in total, the follow up to DropTopWop features a star studded lineup consisting of The Weeknd, Migos, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Schoolboy Q, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Dolph, Slim Jxmmi, A$AP Rocky & more. Meanwhile, production is handled by the likes of Metro Boomin, Southside, Nav, Zaytoven, A1, Young Berg, Detail and more.
Having already heard records likes “Curve” with The Weeknd & “I Get The Bag” featuring Migos, fans can now stream the project in its entirety via Apple Music. Take a listen and let us know what record you’re feeling the most?
