Ariana Grande has been building hype for her fourth studio album all year long, first announcing the album title, Sweetner, back in early May on Jimmy Fallon, but after months of anticipation, the wait is finally over. At the stroke of midnight, Ariana Grande’s new album was made available on iTunes & all other streaming platforms.
Laced with 15 tracks in total, the follow up to 2016's Dangerous Woman features guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, and Missy Elliott, who appears on the song "Borderline." Meanwhile, it’s currently being led by the singles “No Tears Left To Cry,” “The Light Is Coming,” and “God Is A Woman,” to name a few.
“I’ve always just been like a shiny, singing, 5-6-7- 8, sexy-dance… sexy thing," Ariana said in an interview with The Fader. "But now it’s like, ‘OK… issa bop — but issa message. Issa bop but also has chunks of my soul in it. Here you go. Also, I cried 10 hundred times in the session writing it for you. Here is my bleeding heart, and here is a trap beat behind it.’ There’s definitely some crying-on the-dancefloor stuff on this one," she said.
Available now on iTunes, fans can stream Ari's new album via Apple Music/Spotify.
