After exploding onto the music scene last year thanks to his platinum-selling record “My Shit,” and later receiving a co-sign from Drake & inking a deal with Atlantic Records last July, fast-rising Queens rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has seen a pretty meteoric rise to success over the past year or so and he's just getting started. Back in April A Boogie promised his fans a new project when he reached 1 million followers on Instagram, a milestone he hit soon thereafter. Unfortunately that didn't happen, but a couple months later, A Boogie finally announced that his long awaited debut album The Bigger Artist, would be dropping September 29th, and alas here it is.
Laced with 16 tracks in total, the follow up to last year’s TBA EP features guest appearances from Kodak Black, Chris Brown, Don Q, Trey Songz, PnB Rock & Youngboy Never Broke Again. Meanwhile, production comes from the likes of Murda Beats, Cardo, DJ Mustard and Metro Boomin, Jahaan Sweet, Quasi, and more.
“The album about to be crazy, man. September 29th. Shit is about to be different, man. I ain't gonna lie, it's gonna be different vibes, man. You see how I do love songs? It's gonna be those in there, but I threw different types of vibes in it that I don't really go on. So I got a song with Chris Brown on there, Trey Songz on there, I got 21 [Savage] on there, PnB Rock, NBA YoungBoy. It's about to be different, man.” he said
“It's gonna be kind of connecting to my other projects. Like, I started off throwing out Artist. I made that my first mixtape. Then, I threw out TBA, which means To Be Announced. Right now, it's The Bigger Artist. So it's all connecting. But I stopped doing that mixtape thing. I'm not really rocking with mixtapes no more. EPs and albums, that's it.
Available on iTunes, fans can stream the project in its entirety via Apple Music. Hit play and let us know what record you’re gravitating to the most?
