Stitches knows how to make an impression on people, for better or worse. The tatted up Miami rapper has consistently shocked the game with a brash barrage of shock-tactics and ruthless honesty, which occasionally overshadowed his musical output. Last year, Stitches caught some heat with Bhad Bhabie's camp, after being accused of exploiting the young rapper to appear in his video. Before that, he threw around some wild claims about an affair with Kylie Jenner in a scathing Tyga diss track. Recently, Stitches has been putting in work, most recently turning up on "Out Of My Mind," an energetic collaboration with YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Today, the controversial figure has once again found his name in the headlines, largely in part to a recent gun charge.
According to TMZ, Stitches has actually been hit with some good news, thanks to some skillful maneuvering from his lawyer. The rapper ended up taking a plea deal, which will land him in an intervention program instead of jail. This development follows his arrest in 2017, in which he was found with a Glock and two magazines of ammunition in his car. The publication reports that Stitches will not be allowed to possess any firearms - not until he obtains a gun license, takes a firearm safety course, and does twenty-five hours of community service.
All things considered, it's actually a good break for Stitches. The rapper told TMZ he's " thankful the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office is giving him this opportunity for a fresh start." Hopefully he can make good use of it.
