Carrell is heading to space.

Last year, President Trump and the United States Government revived talks of a Space Force. The entire thing was ridiculed by most the media, but having an advantage in space isn't such a bad idea. Imagine being able to blast directly down at a country from above or have constant surveillance of several countries in real time simultaneously. Having the ultimate high ground over a country would be a massive military advantage. Technology like that sounds like it's hundreds of years away, but who knows what the government has tested. The entire scenario could be a scene out of Star Trek, and Steve Carrell believes he can make a hilarious comedy series out of the Space Force.

Greg Daniels, who has written for The Office, Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, Parks and Recreation, and more, will be reuniting with Carrell for the new show. Simply entitled Space Force, a trailer for the series touched down Wednesday. The trailer doesn't give away much other than the fact Carell is set to star and executive produce. “On June 18, 2018 the federal government announced the creation of a 6th major division of the United States armed forces," reads the trailer's captions. "The goal of the new branch is ‘to defend satellites from attack’ and ‘perform other space-related tasks.’ Or something. This is the story of the men and women who have to figure it out."
