Sony Pictures is getting ready to drop two Spider-Man universe films in 2020.

There have been a lot of dope superhero movies to come out over the past few years and it looks like Sony is ready to give comic book fans more movies based on their favorite characters. Sony has locked in two dates in 2020 to release two new films in the Spider-Man universe.

Sony-Marvel have a few projects up their sleeves, but two of them will be released in 2020. An untitled Marvel film will be dropping on July 10th, 2020 with another untitled Sony-Marvel film dropping a few months later on October 2nd.

Sony-Marvel didn't provide concrete details, but according to Variety, the film dropping in July is most likely going to by "Morbius" with Jared Leto. Morbius first appeared in "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic book in 1971. The character was a scientist who was researching a cure for a blood disease but ends up gaining vampire-like traits after things go left.

The other film that seems to have landed a 2020 release date is the sequel to "Venom" starring Tom Hardy who will return as the character. Sony released "Venom" last month. Although it didn't receive critical praise, it did earn $80M domestically within its opening weekend. In late October, it was reported that the film made $500M at the worldwide box office.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information on new Marvel films.
