New Jersey's rap scene isn't exactly the most prosperous but its proximity to New York helps it out. One of the artists that's making a name for himself out of Jersey is Skinnyfromthe9. The young rapper recently spent time in jail with a few members of his family after he was arrested on kidnapping charges and now, he's embroiled in a beef against YoungBoy Never Broke Again. The two appear to be arguing over Trippie Redd's ex-girlfriend and now, Skinny is clearing things up to his fans.
He decided to go on Instagram Live to speak about everything that's been going on with NBA YoungBoy, insisting that he didn't start the beef and saying that the entire situation is misunderstood. He then said that he doesn't understand why people think he's a gangster, noting that his association with Shotti and Tr3yway doesn't mean he was involved in their dirty business. "Free Shotti," said the rapper. "If that's why you guys think I'm a gangster cause I was fucking with Shotti, Shotti was my manager." Of course, Skinny isn't wrapped up in all of the legal issues that 6ix9ine has found himself in but there has still been speculation over Skinnyfromthe9's association with the gang.
You may recall that Fetty Wap was also signed to Tr3yway. He has not commented on the controversy surrounding Shotti and his partners.
