Fresh after dropping a new EP, Ski Mask The Slump God has taken to Twitter to showcase a new banger with Yung Bans. While the preview is a mere one minute and twenty-three seconds, given the parties involved, we're probably witnessing at least three quarters of the final song. Either way, the untitled jam seems to pick up where Beware The Book Of Eli left off, and seems to suggest newfound desire to hustle from the Slump God. Peep the clip below, which finds both rappers turning up in the studio, dancing alongside piles of discarded money. The song seems to feature a bit of a back and forth, as each emcee trades four bar stanzas over a synth-driven trap instrumental.
Despite their diverging styles, the pair seem to exhibit a solid chemistry. Bans sets it up with a brash, energetic delivery, while Ski Mask half mumbles his way through his rapid, reference-laden singsong flow. It's a formula that has worked before, and will no doubt continue to do so.
Are ya'll checking for this one? It would appear that Ski MAsk is on something of a quest for redemption, following the botched rollout and disappointing first week numbers. Luckily, he remains one of the more talented young artists in the game, and should bounce back with the exuberance we've come to expect. In the mean time, check out his recent Giggle EP, which dropped today.
