Mo Bamba himself announces Sheck Wes' release date for "Mudboy."

It’s been a huge year for Harlem rapper Sheck Wes. From exploding onto the scene with his hit song “Mo Bamba” to signing a joint deal with Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Records and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music, Sheck has quickly become a staple in the rap game today. However despite all the buzz & momentum, Sheck has yet to release his debut effort, Mudboy, which he’s been teasing since March when he sat down with Zane Lowe for an interview, but thankfully the wait is just about over. On Monday night, Sheck announced that Mudboy is finally dropping in just a matter of days come this Friday, October 5th.

He announced the release date thanks to his friend and NBA player Mo Bamba, who wore a t-shirt that read “10.5.18” on with “Mudboy” written across it. He shared the pic on his social media accounts Monday night, getting fans excited that we’re finally just days away.

“I kind of want MUDBOY to just be only Sheck Wes and MUDBOY is going to talk about how I became a MUDBOY," he told Zane Lowe back in March. "A MUDBOY is just somebody who came from nothing, you know, who turned nothing into something. You know, when I was in Africa, in the rain, I walk around in, like, mud, you know, the sand would turn to mud and you are not getting out of that.”

Peep the announcement (below) and be sure to check back this Friday to hear Mudboy.
