Scottie Pippen joined Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman on ESPN's First Take today and offered some hot takes of his own on Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. When comparing LeBron to the likes of Michael Jordan, Pippen quickly shot down the conversation, saying that LeBron lacks a lot of what made players like Jordan or Kobe Bryant so great.
Per First Take:
"When I look at LeBron, he's not what Michael was as a player. He's not even what Kobe Bryant was as a player," Pippen said. "So when you talk about trying to compare Michael's instinct, his ability to take over games, his ability to want to have the last shot, LeBron doesn't have that gene. That's not in him."
In his 16 seasons in the NBA, LeBron has made it to nine NBA Finals and has only won three of them. His biggest opponents have been the Golden State Warriors who he has faced off against four times in the Finals and was only able to win once.
Pippen has been critical of LeBron in the past but these comments right here are a pretty damning criticism on LeBron's legacy.
Did Pippen have a point here or is he way off?
