The past year has treated Russ nothing short of great. The rapper's been hustling for a minute and all the work he's put in has paid off to the fullest. He's opened for Eminem overseas, sold out tours, worked with some legendary producers and gained some plaques on the way. We're nearing the one year anniversary of his debut album, There's Really A Wolf, but right before that hits, he adds another platinum plaque to his collection.
Russ' debut album, There's Really A Wolf has officially gone platinum in under a year since its release. The rapper took to Instagram to share the news with his followers. "DEBUT ALBUM JUST WENT PLATINUM No features. 100% produced mixed mastered engineered written by me 😂😂😂😂 FANS WE DID IT!! Haters, it’s lookin rough out here for y’all," he wrote in the caption section. The rapper's definitely proved many of his critics wrong and the plaque proves it.
In addition to proving his haters wrong with the platinum plaque, the rapper also took aim at "struggle rappers" during his set at Coachella over the weekend.
"For all the rappers who be crying in my fucking mentions, but when we see you in person you turn into fucking pussies, stop talking to me, please. I never respond to y'all on Twitter. You're not getting a response out of me. Y'all are fucking lame. Y'all are in the D-league of rap. Stop fucking talking to me." He said.
