It's not often that high-profile politicians are single and, if they want to run for president, it's completely unheard of, although a notable exception is the ex-Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Trudeau, who is the father of the current PM and was described, in his day, as a "singing young bachelor." Cory Booker, New Jersey Senator and former mayor of Newark, is one of these anomalous single politicians, or rather, was.
According to Page Six, Booker has been seen out on the town with none other than Rosario Dawson, the actor-turned activist. The two were seen going to an unknown movie at Regal Union Square last week (was it Beale Street? Spider-Man?) and the Broadway show Dear Evan Hansen with Dawson's daughter and Booker's niece. After the show was over and the crowd had cleared, Dawson apparently sang a song to Booker while walking across the empty stage towards the exit. Her freestyled lyrics are reported to have included three important words.
Dawson, aside from being an actor in shows like Luke Cage, has recently been getting more and more involved in politics, founding the organization Voto Latino (see below) and getting arrested for protesting.
