By now, you've probably heard "Oh My God, Ronny" at least twenty times. It seems like the Florida based produced is everywhere, and his tag is on the verge to becoming a staple in the game. Known for his distorted 808s and sinister 8-bit synthwork, Ronny J consistently comes through with a simmering musical energy. The latest recipient of said energy is MadeinTYO, who linked up with Ronny for the melodic "In LA."
The track is largely sung, with both Ronny and TYO laying down some autotune-laden verses. The pair have a solid chemistry, but it does feel a little too low key at times, as if the melody can't help but wander. Still, MadeinTYO and Ronny J succeed in creating a vibe, and it'd be interesting to hear what they might come up with during an extended studio session. "Working with TYO was an automatic connection," Ronny J explains to The Fader, "Every time we link we bang out tapes worth of music…that’s my brother.”
