Fans of Rihanna will get an exclusive look into the entertainer's life through a documentary this fall. Peter Berg had originally announced the project in 2016. Since then, we haven't heard much about the documentary. The filmmaker must have been making major moves in silence since he has recently confirmed that the movie will be released shortly.
The director commented on the documentary during an interview concerning a completely different film, the Mark Wahlberg-starring production called Mile 22. Berg reveals the documentary's intent of giving viewers exclusive insight into Rihanna's character, showing a depth that is not always leveraged in these types of films.
"I think she’s an extraordinary young woman. It really is kind of a pretty comprehensive profile of what goes into making her this talent that she is."
Berg also confirms that the production will be available to the public sooner than later: "the movie will be out in about a month and a half, two months we’ll be able to start showing it."
Rihanna is no stranger to the silver screen. After her successful appearance in Ocean's 8, the entertainer is already setting herself up for another cinematic hit. Rihanna was spotted with Donald Glover this was Wednesday. The pair is said to have been filming a new project shot in Cuba. The movie's rumored title is Guava Island.
