Rihanna has just surpassed a celebratory moment in her musical career. The "Work" singer has successfully completed 100 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts, thanks to her Anti album.
Rihanna's eighth studio album was released in January of 2016 exclusively on Tidal via Samsung. At first, Anti landed at #27 on the Billboard 200, but quickly jumped to the top spot after a global release the following week. Tracks such as "Needed Me," "Love On The Brain," and "Kiss It Better" kept the album running throughout the list for a such a long time. Success from her hyped song "Work" has also kept her very familiar on the charts.
Anti has since been certified double platinum by the R.I.A.A.
Some tragic news has been reported on Rihanna's family. We recently shared that her first cousin tragically passed away one day after Christmas due to a gunshot wound. The singer shared a number of photos with her and her cousin on Instagram with the caption, βRIP cousin... can't believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man! π’ππΏβ€ #endgunviolence."
