Just yesterday Vogue Paris revealed how the singer and fashion mogul that is Rihanna will be gracing the cover of its three spread edition for the magazine. Editor-in-chief of the publication, Emmanuelle Alt, notes so perfectly why Riri was chosen:
“She’s one of the most emblematic artists of the early 21st century," he says in the December 2017/January 2018 issue. "She’s moved more than 200 million records of her hybrid R&B, dance, rock and reggae-flavored music, provided sartorial surprises from glammed-up streetwear to reworked classics and is driven by an unparalleled desire to succeed. Stamped with her trademark bold body art, Rihanna cuts an unusual figure in the celebrity Hall of Fame.”
We have now learned that Rihanna has upped the ante by covering not three, but four of Dazed magazines upcoming winter 2017 issue. Each cover can be ordered separately that fronts Rihanna asleep in a yellow gaze, caught in headlights, up close and personal, and looking "like Shirley Temple had dreads." The images for the spread were captured by Harley Weir. Take a peek at the four covers below and head to the site to pre-order your favourite copy.
Another big fashion move to look forward to with Rihanna's name tied to it is the 2018 Met Gala Ball. Although it's a few months away, fashion's biggest night will be hosted by Riri and the likes of Amal Clooney, Anna Wintour and Donatella Versace.
2018's theme is "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination."
