RiFF RAFF has been accused of rape by a woman in Melbourne, Australia, Fader reports. The woman, whose name is Eliza Stafford, posted a public message on Facebook recounting an alleged 2013 sexual assault. "In 2013 I was raped by a man whose stage name is Riff Raff," she said. "I was offered a 60ml ‘party’ shot. I took the shot, it was syrup and I immediately asked what it was. Riff Raff and his support act told me that it was codeine and started laughing. I don’t remember anything from that point."
Stafford goes on to say that another woman who was backstage told Stafford's concerned friends that she had been "coerced to get in to a car with riff raff and his support act," and had been "actively fighting against them as she watched and they had eventually forced [her] in to a car." Stafford says she was taken to a hotel where she was raped. "I woke up as Riff Raff was pulling out of me and getting in to the shower," she wrote, after which she crawled "on all fours" out of the room and called a cab. The full statement can be read below.
RiFF RAFF was scheduled to do a tour of Australia and New Zealand this month. Following the allegations, the booking agency Audipaxx has cancelled the dates. "we have been made aware of allegations made against Houston rapper Riff Raff," they wrote in a statement. "Audiopaxx takes these matters seriously and does not condone any of this alleged behaviour. In light of this, we have spoken to his management team and the scheduled tour of Australia and New Zealand has been cancelled, effective immediately."
