If anybody knew when Rick Ross was planning to release his next album, it would be DJ Khaled. The two have been linked together for years via their shared admiration for the city of Miami. Ross' upcoming tenth album stands to be a tribute to his debut effort Port of Miami as he is set to release the sequel twelve years later. The Teflon Don has been hustling for years, most recently battling a health scare that had the world praying for him. As one of the most iconic voices in rap music, Rozay can produce some classics when he's completely in the zone.
Judging by his quick recovery, Ross may be more focused than ever, realizing that we only have a short amount of time on this planet. DJ Khaled took to his Instagram page to confirm that Port of Miami 2 is still on the way and it may be arriving soon. Captioning the post, "PORT OF MIAMI 2 it’s coming @richforever," simply establishes that the album is still in the works. The MMG honcho poses with a grandiose fur coat (which is probably not necessary in the warm Florida weather) in the photo.
The title of the project was first announced a full year ago, almost to the date. While the album has not made its way to our playlists yet, we can imagine it will be released before the end of the year. Are you excited to hear what Ross can pull off for his tenth album?
