Rich The Kid claims he turned down a spot on the XXL Freshmen list.

It's hard to deny that Rich The Kid's years of labor have finally paid off for him. The rapper's buzz kicked into high gear after he dropped his Kendrick Lamar collaboration, "New Freezer." While many consider him a newcomer to the rap game, he was spending years before blowing up putting in the groundwork. Many have assumed that he was a shoe in for the XXL Freshmen list. While the assumption might be correct, it turns out that the "Plug Walk" rapper turned down the offer.

Rich The Kid took to social media to deny that he'll be featured on the XXL Freshmen List. He took to both Instagram and Twitter to confirm that he turned down the offer.

"Please stop congratulating me on the XXL Freshman they chose me & I happily declined." He wrote on Instagram.

He confirmed that he declined a spot shortly after Akademiks allegedly revealed the other artists that made the lists. Among those are Trippie Redd, J.I.D, Lil Pump, YBN Nahmir, Smokepurpp, Blocboy JB and Stefflon Don. It's hard to know if all of these artists made it, especially since Rich The Kid denied that he was included but we'll keep you updated on who ends up making the list once it's officially revealed.
