Rich The Kid is one of the youngest moguls in the rap game right now. Focusing on growing his money and staying true to his name, Rich has been growing artists like Jay Critch, while focusing on his own success, finding a balance of the two. While we await the arrival of his debut album in the next few weeks, RTK is already celebrating his first platinum single in the Kendrick Lamar-featured "New Freezer." A video was published showing Rich reacting to the news, elated that he has achieved such an accomplishment before even providing a full-length project.
A Kendrick Lamar appearance definitely helped garner the song more attention than usual, but Rich The Kid is growing as an artist before our eyes, and we appear to be in for a treat when The World Is Yours drops. The album boasts an impressive lineup of features and, as the rapper continues to grow his brand, he will have more platinum-certified tracks in no time. It's only a matter of time before the freshly-released "Plug Walk" meets "New Freezer" at the top and, while it likely will not become platinum before the album release, it's heading towards gold certification.
RTK reacted to the news on Twitter and you can check out his ecstatic reaction in the video below. Do you think Rich The Kid will continue his recent string of success or are you attributing the platinum plaque solely to Kendrick's guest spot?
