Rhymefest is erasing Kanye's name.

It's been a crazy weekend for hip-hop. Pusha T dropped what people are calling an instant classic, DaytonaKing Push took shots at Drake on the album, which prompted the 6 god to release a response, "Duppy Freestyle." In the midst of the back and forth between the G.O.O.D. Music head and OVO's leader, Rhymefest inserted his two cents. Rhymefest, who was an old friend and collaborator of Kanye, took to Twitter to ask fans to avoid Pusha T's album, and to donate to Donda’s House organization instead. Rhymefest runs the non-profit organization that is named in honor of West's late mother. He continued on to call Kanye out for not contributing to the organization, which is currently facing financial troubles.

Rhymefest's initial tweets set off a storm. Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian hopped on Twitter to defend her husband. She presented Rhymefest as a struggling rapper who visited Kanye in the studio but didn't have the incentive to speak about Donda's House in person. Kim also threatened to have Rhymefest removed from the organization, all while throwing shade at the rapper's non-relevance.

Rhymefest must have been deeply bothered by Kim's tweets, because on Saturday (May 25), he announced that the non-profit organization would, "no longer use the name Donda’s House, Inc." He released a statement through Donda House Inc.'s Twitter that read, “Due to recent events that have occurred over the last 48 hours, we have decided to no longer use the name Donda’s House, Inc. This has been an incredibly difficult decision but the social media quotes from Kim Kardashian West, as well as the expressed interested of her family running the organization, has brought us to this decision.”

Rhymefest couldn't complete his statement without throwing some more shade at Kanye and Kim, and he continued, "Over the last five years we have put our students and our community first. We’d like to thank all of our supporters, and we assure you that our hearts have always been with the City of Chicago and we will continue to support youth in our future endeavors. We encourage Kim and Kanye to indeed pick up the baton of service.” He also tagged the couple in the tweet.
