Remy Ma is currently dodging legal bullets since Love & Hip Hop star Brittney Taylor motioned a lawsuit against her. The latter occurred after the reality television star made allegations that Remy Ma punched her eye, resulting in the black eye photos which surfaced all over the web. While the ordeal almost cost Remy Ma her freedom, as the rapper is already treading on thin ice via her parole, recent evidence in the matter proved the 38-year-old might dodge the charge. And just when Remy seemed to be off the hook, a new lawsuit just pops up.
According to Hip Hop DX, both Remy and Love & Hip Hop star, Safaree, are tied to a new lawsuit. The former relates to a breach of contract for a benefit concert where the two artists were set to perform. The Circle Foundation, an organization dedicated to mentoring at-risk Chicago youth, filed in for the suit after the musicians failed to agree to the terms of the fundraising show on April 21st. The contract involved a "performance exclusivity" clause which confirmed the Love & Hip Hop stars were not allowed to perform "within 60 miles of the venue for 30 days prior to the concert." While they agreed, they each disobeyed the terms by performing at nearby venues within the 30-day period.
As such, The Circle Foundation requested their coins back, but neither artist returned the deposits given in relation to their performances at the fundraiser. Hence, the foundation is now suing both Remy Ma and Safaree for the lost funds and damages that followed the contract's breach as the benefit concert was canceled.
