After signing a new deal with Columbia Records, reportedly worth a couple million dollars, NYC rapper Remy Ma is already working on new music, and not just any music. According to TMZ & various reports online, Remy has linked up with the baddest chick of them all in Lil Kim, and the two female emcees are reportedly working on a diss track aimed at Nicki Minaj.
The track is reportedly called "Wake Me Up,” and is filled with subliminal shots at Nicki and her rumored relationship with Nas. “I heard he lay that d***. You let them filet that fish. You just met him how he bae that quick?,” Remy raps. While another rumored line appears to be Remy reclaiming her place & crown in hip-hop, spitting "That crown I'm gon take that sh*t," she raps. "Cause you a clown and homie don't play that sh*t.”
It's unclear at the moment on when the song will surface, but it looks like it’ll be off Remy’s next album whenever it does. TMZ also shared a picture of the two ladies on set (see below), leaving us to presume that a upcoming music video is already in the works as well.
The upcoming collab shouldn't come much of a surprise to fans as both Remy & Kim shared pictures of them in the studio working together back in August, but we weren't aware that they were going at Nicki’s neck. Remy already did so on her "sheETHER" diss last year.
“We just made history @1hunnitdash @remyma #lilkim #queenbee #beehive #lilkimseason #studioflow” Lil Kim shared on IG with a pic of her & Remy, before adding “My partner frfr!! The amount of 🔥that was in this room was ridiculous!! Somebody call the fire marshals sheesh.”
We’ll continue to keep you posted on the upcoming diss record moving forward. Stay tuned.
