Weezy F Baby and the "F" is for "Finally." After years of going back and forth with Birdman as he attempted to have his Cash Money contract voided with clearance to release his long-awaited Tha Carter V album, Wayne and Birdman reportedly reached a settlement today as Weezy was awarded upwards of $10 million. With the agreement, Wayne's ties to Cash Money have effectively been nullified, allowing him to release his forthcoming work through Universal. Since their dispute had been ongoing for years, it felt unrealistic to expect Carter V to drop in the near future but, today, that sentiment changed.
Notably content with the settlement that her father reached in court, Reginae Carter could not be any more excited for her dad's next album to be revealed to the world. Celebrating her Throwback Thursday in an appropriate fashion, Nae uploaded an old image of her dad laying down on top of stacks of cash. While the photo dates back to a different era, Wayne is likely mimicking the same pose as we write this. Coming across a sum of dough larger than $10 million, Weezy has a lot of extra paper on his hands right now. In the post, Reginae captioned her photo by declaring her father is the greatest to ever do it, writing, "The GOAT 🐐 #Icantmakethisup."
Whether or not Tha Carter V releases in the coming months or at the end of the year, its arrival will be welcomed by Wayne's fans with outstretched arms. Are you on the lookout for C5?
