R. Kelly turned himself into authorities on Friday night after he was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. The singer's looking at a lengthy amount of time behind bars if he's convicted. The singer finally posted $100K bond which is 10% of his $1M bail. He's been released from jail but if he wants to stay out, he has to cough up some dough to his baby mama.
TMZ reports that R. Kelly was released from jail earlier today after entering a not guilty plea on all 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. The singer reportedly posted the bond with a cashier's check so there shouldn't be any issues with it getting cleared.
Despite his release, he could go back as early as next week if he doesn't pay his ex-wife, Drea Kelly. The singer is forced to pay $160K in child support to his ex-wife by March 6th if he wants to stay out of County lockup. Sources close to Kellz say that he's planning on making arrangements as soon as possible to pay the child support to focus on his criminal case.
Despite entering a not guilty plea, Michael Avenatti, the lawyer for four of Kelly's alleged victims, turned over another tape of R. Kelly having sex with the same 14-year-old girl from the other tape Avenatti handed over the Cook County prosecutors.
