While the pressure mounts against R. Kelly for his years of alleged sexual abuse scandals, two more women have decided to share their stories of their relationships with the singer.
In a report from Buzzfeed News, two women have accused Kelly of sexual abuse. One, Lizzette Martinez, claims to have had a relationship with Kelly in the 90's, and the other, Michelle, is the mother of a girl who she claims is currently part of Kelly's alleged "sex cult."
Martinez says she met and began a relationship with Kelly when she was a 17-year-old Florida high school student, which would have made her underage at the time. The two dated for four years, during which time Kelly allegedly hit her on five different occasions and forced her to partake in sexual activities against her will. Their relationship ended in 1999.
Michelle claims that she hasn't heard from her daughter, referred to in the article as "N.," in over three months. She believes that N., who was also 17 when she met Kelly (17 is the age of consent in Illinois), is a part of Kelly's "sex cult" and that she could be in danger. N. placement in Kelly's influence has been confirmed by several sources, but she was not available for comment. Michelle says the last words her daughter said to her were, "Don’t ever give up on me."
These accusations come at the tail of the biggest pressure on Kelly's career in years, as the celebrity-led Time's Up movement has called for corporations to boycott Kelly and his music.
