Fans are still discussing the Grammy Awards' selection of Best Rap Album. Artists are also engaging in the discussion with varying opinions. Cardi B has received a lot of support from her peers and Pusha T is no exception. While his fans are disappointed about Daytona bein passed up for Invasion of Privacy, Pusha sees the bigger picture.
The rapper hopped on Twitter to give props to the "I Like It" artist as well as the other nominees. "Had an amazing Grammy experience, nominated with a group of my peers that I’ve supported publicly via my socials at one time or another, each and every one of them. Honored to be part of the bunch," he wrote. "Congrats 2 @iamcardib for winning and 4 having the best performance of the night."
He also expressed gratitude for the Recording Academy's acknowledgment of his talents, considering how Daytona differs from the kind of mainstream albums celebrated during their annual ceremony. "Honored to be nominated as I don’t feel I’ve ever seen an album this concentrated in pure street content ever acknowledged by the @RecordingAcad , def not in 7 songs," he added. "Changing the silhouette and reaching new heights for lyric driven, street hip hop. This nomination was for 'us.'"
