De La Ghetto, Ozuna, Yandel, Zion & Lennox, and J Balvin joined together in paying tribute to Daddy Yankee who resolutely demanded he take part in his own homage - last night's medley performance taking place at Premio Lo Nuestro 2019, the premier gala event celebrating the very best in Latin music each year.
The medley tribute was bestowed in Daddy Yankee's honor because 2019 marks the 15-year anniversary of his landmark Barrio Fino album, the same project that gave the World fits of "Gasolina."
Incidentally, Daddy Yankee wasn't the only big winner on the night, as J Balvin walked away with "Artist of the Year" honors, and Ozuna snagged a similar award, but in the all-important "Urban" category. Below, I've compiled an abridged list of 2019's big winners.
