These days, everybody wants in on the popularity of music festivals. With Rolling Loud reigning supreme in terms of hip-hop events, some artists are hopping on the bandwagon themselves, creating their own festivals. Of course, the rescheduled Dreamville fest comes to mind as well as Travis Scott's Astroworld festival. Of course, you need a certain amount of popularity and connections as an artist if you want to put on a successful event of this magnitude. Post Malone is looking to succeed in his first year as a festival organizer, putting together a promising lineup for the inaugural edition of Posty Fest.
It's clear that Post has an ear for talent. The one-day festival is set to be a major event in Dallas this month. Tyler, The Creator and Travis Scott had previously been announced as headliners but they are now set to be joined by a group of talented up-and-comers that will be poised to outperform the heavy hitters. Nearly every name on this list has proven themselves to have unlimited potential with Lil Skies, Ski Mask the Slump God, Tierra Whack, SAINt JHN and Tyla Yaweh announced as performers. There is also the possibility of surprise guests turning up as evidenced by the updated poster shared on Post's socials.
The full lineup does not consist of too many artists, which is an interesting strategy for Post to go with. Usually, festival organizers prefer to go with quantity over quality but Malone seems destined to flip that script. Are you attending the event?
