Detroit police are looking into a viral video clip that shows teenage rapper Molly Brazy pointing a gun at a toddler.

Molly Brazy, an 18-year-old up-and-coming rapper from Detroit, is facing online backlash as well as police scrutiny due to a recently surfaced video that shows her pointing a gun at a toddler's head.

The video was posted last week on the Facebook page of rapper/comedian G'Mac Cash. It begins with Molly teasing a little girl, who's holding a pistol. She then throws the pistol at Molly. "Why would you do that?" snaps the rapper, before taking the gun and aiming it at the toddler's head. "You better stop playing with me," she says as she withdraws the weapon.

Detroit police are currently looking into the disturbing video clip, reports Fox 2. "It's very concerning to see anybody point a weapon at a small child," said Sgt. Michael Woody. "We're going to park the video to see what we can find."

"We've seen so much infant mortality in this city in the past year. Messing around with guns like that is not a smart thing to do. It's very irresponsible and reckless," Woody said.

At this time, it has not been confirmed if the gun is real. Molly's manager, who anonymously spoke to Fox 2, insists the weapon is a fake, plastic gun. "She was playing with the baby, and the baby was playing with her," said the manager.

"She's remorseful about it," said Molly's manager. "If she could do it over she would."

Molly is known for toting (seemingly real) guns in her music videos.
