PnB Rock is in the midst of a career moment. His new album is being praised heavy and even though it's only been out for a few hours, people seem to love what they're hearing. Detailing his two different sounds, TrapStar Turnt PopStar goes through some of the most prominent themes in the Philadelphia rapper's life, using melody to swerve from the trap to the mainstream almost seamlessly. PnB Rock may not be the biggest name in the rap game but with this album, he's experiencing a career resurgence. We may not have been treated with that many quality projects this year yet but fans are deeming TSTPS an early favourite. The artist stopped by The Breakfast Club to speak about how he got to this point and how he's matured as a human and a rapper.
After spending some time in jail, PnB Rock realized that he needed to change his life a little to get to where he wanted to be. Once a TrapStar, PnB used to grace the stage with thirty of his homies surrounding him. Now, it's just him on stage. As a bonafide PopStar, the rapper is more energized, more grown up and generally a more guided man. He knows where his ideas can take him and he's not holding back anymore.
