Sony PlayStation is following in Nintendo's footstep by releasing a classic reiteration of their original console. The first PlayStation sparked the beginning of Sony's reign at the top of the video game world. Titles like Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid became classics in the gaming community, while PlayStation's controller layout what copied by almost all of their competitors.
Sony has released the lineup for the preloaded games that will come with the PlayStation Classic, and gamers will have a number of nostalgic titles to choose from. Unfortunately, PlayStation staples such as Syro and Crash Bandicoot are missing from the list, but Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil Director's Cut, and Tekken 3 all made the cut. The original Grand Theft Auto will also be included, which will be a stark reminder of how far the series has come from its birds-eye-view origins. The PlayStation Classic drops on December 3rd.
