Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti are about to hit the road. The duo, along with G Herbo, and SOB x RBE, begin “The 16*29 Tour” on November 17th in Denver, hitting up Houston, Memphis, Atlanta, Miami, Kansas City and Detroit to name a few, ending things in Boston on December 21st.
Presale tickets will be available tomorrow (October 19th) while general tickets are available October 20th. Tickets for the show in Charlotte will not be available until October 31st as the venue is still to-be-determined. The name of the tour references the block that raised Uzi and Playboi. The 1600 block in Philadelphia for Uzi and the 2900 block in Atlanta for Playboi.
Lil Uzi is coming off his release of Luv Is Rage 2 where he recently debuted 15 cartoon visuals for each song on the album, as a sure way to keep the momentum going for his project. One video sees a cartoon Uzi jetting through space while smoking a blunt ("Neon Guts" feat. Pharrell Williams) while another sees him flying high while an angry heart chases him ("Ex").
Just last week Playboi shared a clip of him debuting some new music in the studio that we have yet to get a hold of. The video he posted to Twitter shows him playing the tune where he raps, “Yeah she left in the morning/ Diamonds on diamonds on diamonds on diamonds, empty your pocket and pay that lil hundred/ I got piru’s in the lobby, I got the Piru’s right behind me." The lyrics are accompanied by some heavy production by Pierre Bourne.
