Peter Dinklage is one of the most respected actors in the game. He is most famous for playing Tyrion Lannister, an intelligent drunk on Game of Thrones that was born into a family of power hungry politicians. Dinklage has loyally played the Game of Thrones character for years now, and the HBO hit series is looking to wrap things up next year with their final season. It appears Dinklage has his eyes set on the future though. He was featured in this year's box-office killer Avengers: Infinity War as a giant named Eitri. He was also featured in the Oscar-nominated drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and the family film The Angry Birds Movie. Now, according to Variety, Dinklage is set to star in Rumpelstiltskin.
The old fairy tale was published by the Brothers Grimm in the 1800's, and has been retold several times in the last two centuries. The story centers around a young girl whose father tells the king that she can spin straw into gold. The king imprisons the young girl, and threatens to decapitate her if she cannot complete the task. After panicking all night, a small dwarf-like creature appears and offers to spin the straw into gold in return for her jewelry. After he does so, the king escalates the situation twice, forcing the girl to perform the task and promising to marry her if she does. Once again, the dwarf helps the girl, but he asks for her first child as payment. A release date for the film has yet to be announced.
