It was a huge spectacle last night as the NBA Draft Lottery went down. Despite having a 14 percent chance at winning the first overall pick, the New York Knicks ended up getting the third overall pick while the Los Angeles Lakers picked up the fourth slot in the draft. The results ended up being quite shocking as the New Orleans Pelicans won the first overall pick which many think will end up being Duke Blue Devils star, Zion Williamson.
As for the second overall pick, that went to the Memphis Grizzlies who will most likely take Ja Morant or RJ Barrett, unless, of course, the Pelicans pass on Zion.
Williamson spoke to ESPN after the draft lottery and explained that he's excited to go to any team that drafts him, although it appeared as though he was disappointed that the Knicks only ended up with the third overall pick.
"I don't know why, I'm just still nervous," Williamson said. "Maybe because ... all eyes were on me. And I think it's a lot to take in, 'cause I don't know where I'm gonna be."
The biggest wild card of this whole thing is that Anthony Davis might want to stay with the Pelicans now that they'll be getting a top tier prospect. Needless to say, the offseason is about to be very interesting.
