When Michelle Beadle is wearing a gas mask for ESPN's coverage of the NBA Playoffs on Thursday night, we'll know why.
During a recent taping of "Off the Clock," Paul Pierce ripped an obviously foul-smelling fart while sitting right next to his co-host. "Nasty," Beadle responded upon getting a whiff. If there was any doubt that she had just been dusted by The Truth, Jalen Rose chimed in, "Michelle Beadle smelling something in the air."
Beadle, who later confirmed the devastating news on twitter, noted, "We're trapped in a room y'all."
This is just the latest embarrassing on-camera moment for the Celtics legend this post-season.
Pierce has been getting trolled left and right on social media, specifically for declaring the Boston-Milwaukee series "over" after the C's stole Game 1. As we know, the Celtics have dropped three straight games and are now on the brink of elimination.
For those of you who may have missed it, or simply want a refresher, here's what Pierce said after Game 1:
"As a team, I don't know where Milwaukee goes from here. I think it's over."
He continued, "It's just seemed like Milwaukee was a way better team throughout the regular season [...] If Giannis [Antetokounmpo] doesn't have a monster game and somebody else doesn't step up, Boston is just going to out talent them."
TNT will have coverage of tonight's double-header, starting with the Celtics-Bucks Game 5 at 8pm ET. The ESPN NBA Countdown crew will be on duty for Thursday's slate - by then Pierce's Celtics may have already gone fishing.
