Mahomes was named league MVP last year.

In just his second season in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes was an absolute beast for the Kansas City Chiefs as he finished the season with 50 touchdowns and over 5,000 yards passing. His performance was good enough to win him Most Valuable Player honors and he even helped bring his team to the AFC Championship game. The Chiefs eventually lost to the New England Patriots but the future is bright as Mahomes has the potential to become one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

With Mahomes becoming such a popular player, it only makes sense that he would be the cover athlete for Madden 20. Before the NFL Draft in Nashville, EA Sports revealed the cover of their newest game which shows Mahomes flexing his muscles.

"When you're a little kid," Mahomes told The Undefeated, "you dream of being on the cover of Madden ... having your picture up there."

Mahomes started Madden 19 with a rating of 77 although that will surely change for this year's game. When asked about what his rating should be, the Chiefs QB was confident that he should be amongst the league's best.

"I expect my rating to be a 100," Mahomes said. "I'm thinking that's what we should go with. I want a little 100 emoji by my name."
