PartyNextDoor has been steady dropping material in the last week or so, including "Put It On Silent" with Ty Dolla $ign, "Naked," "Damn," and "Break Me Down." In fact, it wouldn't be a stretch to think that PND is on the cusp of dropping his anticipated Club Atlantis album, despite denying any sort of "album rollout" in a tweet on Sunday. Still, the new music continues to come, and whether or not that spells an upcoming album is neither here nor there; it's doubtful fans will complain so long as they continue to get new music from the OVO singer.
Now, PartyNextDoor has uploaded a new collaboration onto his website, featuring D-Block legend Jadakiss, AKA The Raspiest. It's a low key, vibey cut, with PND kicking things off with a subdued, yet high tempo flow. "Gotta refuse all sympathy, everybody fine till they need me financially," raps Party, at once lamenting and humble-bragging in one fell swoop. The remainder of his verse is laced with clever lyrical imagery ("Cut em' off like Korean Barbecue scissors") and the sort of lavish lifestyle you'd expect from one of OVO's best and brightest.
By now, if you don't know Jadakiss' name, there's not much I can do to help you. The man with the most iconic laugh in hip-hop works surprisingly well with PND, despite a massive difference in musical demeanor. Admittedly, Party does set the bar pretty high with a solid lead-off verse, but Jada switches up his usual style and delivers a complimentary performance. To be honest, it does feel somewhat different from the remainder of the track, but new Jadakiss is always welcome as far as I'm concerned.
Check out the track now, and stay tuned for PartyNextDoor's upcoming album, Club Atlantis. While he recently made it seem as if the album wasn't coming, OVO recently rented out some billboard space advertising a slew of upcoming albums (including PND's) set to drop by year's end.
Quotable Lyrics
Being damaged your nice image
Gotta refuse all emphaty
Gotta refuse all symphaty
Everybody fine till they need me financially
