Ozuna has been dealing with the unfortunate consequences of a video shoot in which he participated before he was of age. The Latin superstar was filmed performing sexual acts in a tape featuring other male performers and was subsequently extorted by a fellow artist. He has since offered an apology to his fans while onstage for Calibash Las Vegas 2019.
During his set at the T-Mobile Arena, the father of two spoke to the sold-out crowd to express some remorse. “I apologize to each of you for mistakes I made in the past, I apologize to children and those who were offended. As a man I am here facing the issue,” said Ozuna in Spanish.
He also offered some words of encouragement for anyone who may be dealing with regrets. The 26-year-old added, “Your past does not define your future, you decide your future decide from today.”
Reports state that the man who extorted Ozuna out of $50K in order to keep the sex tape private was Kevin Fret. The gay rapper was recently murdered in Puerto Rico at the age of 24. Fret was shot execution-style while riding a motorbike. Ozuna's team affirm that their client was not involved in his death.
