Donald Trump Jr. has fought back at reports swirling around Oprah's possible run for presidency in the next election. The eldest son of the POTUS took to Twitter to lambaste the media for creating a hype around the former talk-show host's interest in a presidential candidacy, which he believes directly insults his father.
Trump's condemnation stems from a since-deleted tweet sent out by NBC, which showcased a photo of a jovial Oprah from the night with a caption that read: "Nothing but respect for OUR future president. #GoldenGlobes."
Leave it to Trump's most vocal family member to immediately take offence to an otherwise innocent tweet, and continue his father's fight against the mainstream media.
However, while NBC may have tweeted about Oprah's potential presidency run, CNN has links to sources close to the media mogul who can absolutely confirm that she is seriously considering stepping into the race as a candidate in the 2020 election.
Furthermore, her widely-praised speech from last night's ceremonies has also got people speculating of her future political plans, as her "A new day is on the horizon" line has given heft to the reports that are spreading across the Internet.
