Onyx seems to have been around since Rap began. That's not quite true, but they've been around for about as long as we've been listening to hip hop.
These East Coast rappers perfectly display their hardcore stylings over a track that recalls the old-school methodology of producers in the nineties befitting the rappers who hail from South Jamaica, Queens (a small neighborhood within the borough which serves as a breeding ground for Hip-Hop talent). It sounds great, and A$AP Ferg especially delivers with a verse showcasing a talent we wish we saw more of on Trap Lord.
Onyx will be coming out with a new, long awaited mix, called WAKEDAFUCUP which comes out on March 9. Abrasive never sounded so pleasant.
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm guilty, I guess, your honor
Why niggas wanna test my honor?
It's honor amongst thieves, I run with petty crooks
Even though niggas like Dope, a baby shook
Bet he looked to the ground
When I look him up and down
