You might be seeing the name OMB Peezy a little more frequently across the web & hip-hop sites recently, and that’s because the Alabama rapper is looking like the next artist to blow from the 300 Entertainment label (Migos, Yachty & Young Thug). In fact, OMB Peezy is getting ready to release a new album with hit-producer Cardo (Got Wingz) called Humble Beginnings, and today we’re treated to a new offering from it. Following up the other day’s "Pressure" release, Peezy decides to come through and release a new song with fellow internet sensation & Baton Rouge rapper NBA Youngboy called “Doin Bad.”
Going in over the piano-driven production from Cardo, Peezy delivers an introspective record that finds him reflecting on his come up in the game and in the streets of Mobile, Alabama & Sacramento, California. Highlighted by Peezy’s rapid fire flow & NBA Youngboy’s melodic twang, “Doin Bad” serves as another strong introduction into the fast-rising Alabama rapper and all the more reason to look forward to his Humble Beginnings project.
And if you’re still sleeping on the Baton Rouge star Youngboy Never Going Broke Again, be sure to check out our recent “On The Come Up” segment (below) where he talks about why his latest arrest was "the best thing to happen to him.”
Take a listen to the new Southern trap banger & share your thoughts on it (below). Look for the single to hit iTunes & retailers later this week on Friday, Sept. 15th, along the release of a new lyric video as well.
Humble Beginnings is expected to drop sometime in October. This won't be the last we hear from OMB Peezy before then. So stay tuned more is definitely on the way. In the meantime, revisit his latest video for "The Hard Way" right here while you wait.
Quotable Lyrics:
