While he's seen his fair share of success alongside family and bandmates Quavo and Takeoff, Offset can now celebrate his very first Platinum record outside of the group with his "Ric Flair Drip" single.
The track, found on 21 Savage and Metro Boomin's Without Warning collaborative project of last year has reportedly pushed past the threshold of 1,000,000 equivalent sales to earn the distinction and arrives only as the latest is a slew of good news for the North Atlanta-bred rapper. Earlier this week it was reported that Migos' Culture II album was already poised to debut at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200 chart after moving 200,000 units since it premiered.
While the new certification has not been officially announced, Offset did take to his socials to broadcast the accomplishment, thanking God and the fans on Instagram.
This new win signals yet another piece evidence of Migos outlasting the "flash in the pan" stigma that's shrouded them time and time again, and it's with good reason, especially in Offset's case as he's previously voiced his drive to outrun the crash that many of his predecessors have suffered.
"I got three kids, bro. I need all my kids to be educated and wealthy." He noted in an interview with Rolling Stone last month. "I don't want to be one of those rappers who had it but right now they be on a TV show to keep them going," Offset says. "I would rather be out the scene, getting my money on Bitcoin."
