Details of the upcoming Oceans 8 film - the highly anticipated all-female remake of the Oceans 11 trilogy -have remained relatively minimal since the project and cast were first announced. Following a teaser image posted earlier this year, an official poster has now been released, which sees each cast member dressed similarly in a coat and funky sunglasses. The cast includes a who's who of A-list talent, as well as up-and-coming Hollywood stars. Actress Anne Hathaway, one of the eclectic mix of leading ladies starring in the film, shared the photo on her Instagram page for all to witness.
In the film, Sandra Bullock plays recently incarcerated Debbie Ocean, sister to George Clooney's character in the original franchise, and follows the ex-con and the rest of the cast as they try and perform a heist at the annual MET Gala in New York City.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bullock notes how working with each cast-member did not involve any expected cat-fights or clash of egos. She goes on to say that the film doesn't intentionally hate on men, but instead, admits that this particular heist needs these strong and skilled female criminals in order to be performed correctly.
The film is scheduled to be released in June of next year.
