Just yesterday we posted that Nipsey Hussle's brother, Samiel Asghedom, also known as Blacc Sam, filed paperwork in support of his sister getting guardianship of Nipsey Hussle's 10-year-old daughter, Emani. New reports from The Blast now detail that Samiel has filed more paperwork, this time looking to be in charge of his late brother's estate.
According to the publication, Nipsey passed without a will and his reported $2 million estate needs to be properly handled as soon as possible. Samiel's documents read that Nipsey's “passing has created significant media attention, which, in turn has presented potential time-sensitive business opportunities based on [Nipsey Hussle]’s likeness, right of publicity, and other intellectual property based on the media attention surrounding [Nipsey Hussle]’s exceptional life story and musical career."
A judge has not yet ruled on whether Samiel will be the new administrator for Nipsey's estate but considering the close ties he had with his brother's business deals, it would make all the sense.
"He was a brother, a musician, an entrepreneur, a people's champ," Samiel previously stated of his brother. "He was somebody that believed in the process of hard work, determination and just the positivity of somebody staying in the area that he grew up in and making something out of nothing...he was a role model to the community, to the kids, and to the mothers and the grandmothers and the community that watched him grow up and seen him as a youngster, (and now) a family man, a father, raising his kids."
