It's been just over two weeks since the tragic and unexpected passing of Nipsey Hussle and fans, family members, friends, and other hip hop acts are still, understandably, mourning. While Nipsey left behind an impressive collection of music for us to play over and over, we're now finding out that the Victory Lap rapper had so much more in store for his fans.
According to an Instagram post made by Rihanna, Nipsey had plans to collaborate with her and get her on a track he was working on. The "Needed Me" singer shared a screenshot to her Instagram feed that sees a text exchange between producer Hitmaka and Nipsey. Hitmaka was talking to Nipsey about a track tentatively called "On My Mind" that he explained would be a #1 hit with a feature from Rihanna.
"We gotta get Rihanna then," Nipsey responded. "ima work on this one. This a GO!"
Rihanna also shared a sweet collage of Nipsey and his partner Lauren London, with a caption on how sorry she is for the actress. "This doesnโt make any sense! My spirit is shaken by this! Dear God may His spirit Rest In Peace and May You grant divine comfort to all his loved ones! ๐๐๐ฟ
Iโm so sorry this happened to you," she previously wrote. Our thoughts exactly.
