Drake's "Fortnite" sesh with Ninja could have been a ploy to gain him clout in the gaming world.

Scorpion SZN is fully in effect as Drake continues to break nearly every record known to mankind. Racking up a heavy amount of streams in just a few days since its release, Scorpion is easily on pace for the most guaranteed No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 in a while. The double album has kept fans divided over the product Drizzy Drake is offering with some praising it as one of his best works and others ranking it near the bottom of his discography. Regardless of its quality, Drake knows just as well as everyone else that everybody and their mother is hitting play. While still in creation mode for the album, Drake famously took some time out of his studio schedule to play a game of Fortnite with Travis Scott and professional gamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. However, Ninja thinks there was more to the session than just a couple of rappers having some fun.

During a Fortnite live-stream, Ninja commented on Drake's customizable Scorpion merch, which in turn brought him to their March gaming sesh. "Is he gonna buy my next line of Ninja merch? You know, or my Ninja headband? Probably not," reasoned Blevins when asked if he would cop a jacket. "I feel like Drake saw that I was up-and-coming on the gaming scene and he thought it would be a perfect way to just tap into another source of viewers by playing with me. He also might have just wanted to game. I'm not sure but he's a genius, dude," reflected the gamer before revealing he would probably still buy a Scorpion jacket anyways.

There's no doubt that Drake has carefully calculated every one of his moves. There is no other way to reach the heights he's seen. Was he looking for some extra clout? Probably. But we're sure he had fun while doing it.
