Asuquomo makes a statement on his debut EP, "DIOBU."

We've covered Canadian-Nigerian artist Asuquomo over the past few months as he got ready to release his self-described debut EP. This week, he finally unleashed his new project DIOBU, a four-track EP that brings together the vibrancy of Nigeria and the grittiness of Canadian winters. He brings elements of grime and hip-hop as much as he does afrobeats and jazz throughout the project.

"Diobu is an EP that breathes and lives rhythms that a reminiscent of a place. This project was created with love and care. Music made for soothing the chaos of today’s world," he said about the project in a statement.

Though it's only four-tracks in length, it's a potent debut EP that will draw you in immediately. Check out Asuquomo's new project DIOBU below.
