Nicki Minaj has started off the year with a bang, unleashing three freestyles in the last week. Her latest edition of Queen Radio saw the rapper premiere a duo of remixes for her Apple Music audience, also chatting with Soulja Boy on the air. She's getting ready for another one of her features to find its way online shortly with a confirmed feature on Avril Lavigne's "Dumb Blonde." Lavigne's new album will be out next week and according to Breathe Heavy, we may be in for some subliminals toward Cardi B.
It wouldn't be the first time that Minaj would be coming for Cardi B in her music but the superstar appears to throw some slight shade in the upcoming song. Despite there only being a preview available right now, some people have already started to connect the dots. Or, more appropriately, they think they've connected the dots.
Nicki boisterously claims to be the "prototype" in her verse, closing out her appearance by saying, "I don't want no frauds, wink wink." Of course, this could be referring to anybody or nobody. Given her history with Cardi B, fans believe that this may be a quick little reminder to her that Nicki will always be the Queen. I guess we'll have to wait until the full song is out before deciding if this is shade or not.
