"The QUEEN & HER HUSBAND, last thing you’re gonna wanna be is our subjects."

It seems Nicki Minaj is listening to Eminem's Kamikaze album this weekend. The Queen rapper took the time to share the cover of the Detroit rapper's new surprise album Kamikaze Saturday, doubling down on an Em lyric from their recent collaboration: "Lemme keep it 💯, two things shouldn’t be your themes of discussion!!! The QUEEN & HER HUSBAND, last thing you’re gonna wanna be is our subjects, YEAH‼️‼️‼️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏽"

Nicki was particularly excited about "Majesty," the Eminem collab that appeared on her new album Queen, when it was released. She described Em's verse on the song as something that will go down as "one of the best verses in history" in a recent episode of Queen Radio. She went on to praise Em's abilities as an emcee. "It’s refreshing to work with rappers who rap," she said. "I love a man who is humble enough — even when he’s that dude — to let a woman shine." It goes along with much of the talk about wanting rappers to "push their pen" that Nicki has been circling around recently. The wordy, fast, multisyllabic rhyme schemes on Eminem's album are probably what she's looking for right now. As the line from "Majesty" suggests, the two consider themselves to be in an elite class of emcees.

As for all the "husband" talk, it reaches back to a Twitter joke that went a little too far, inspiring speculation over whether Nicki and Eminem were dating.

Nicki was not mentioned on Eminem's Kamikaze, which can be seen as a sign of respect considering most of the artists who did get namedropped were also dissed in one way or another. See a list of those who caught jabs on the album here.
